One of three San Diego search and rescue team members injured in a wreck Sunday morning near the Louisiana and Texas border was released from the hospital Tuesday.

They were part of the Ssan Diego Urban Search & Rescue team headed to help victims of Hurricane Helene. The investigation of the crash is continuing.

Capt. Greg Davies, the planning team manager was released. He’s been a member of the department since 2009, KTLA reported.

“We are thrilled he’s able to leave the hospital. We don’t yet know when he will return to San Diego,” fire officials wrote on the department's Facebook page.

Battalion Chief Aide Barbat and Capt. Jesse Shultz remain in Ochsner LSU Health in Shreveport.

“The families have requested privacy and that no medical information be shared at this time.” fire officials added.

Shreveport firefighters stepped up to the plate to assist the injured firefighters, their families and their firefighter families.

One drove to Dallas to pick up a family member of one of the firefighters.

San Diego Fire Chief Robert Logan said he, Deputy Chief Stephen Lozano and Capt. Jason Stanley, president of IAFF Local 145 left as soon as they were notified about the crash near the Louisiana and Texas border. Family members of the firefighters also made the trip to be with their loved ones.

Logan said he was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from firefighters not only in Shreveport, but other departments as well.
